Hello, Do you like my hat?

Sally came by today. She wants me to go to the club with her and Dan. They've been trying to find Dan's next wife. The doctors gave sally 6 months to a year life expectancy when they found that tumor. After watching her sister suffer through all the radiation and chemo before she died of the same thing Sally decided to go out sooner and with more grace. She is looking for someone who will love Dan and the kids and take care of them and the house. Someone who Dan can fall in love with but nobody who will remind them of Sally. She doesn't want Dan to scream out Sally's name by mistake some night when they are in their "Laughing Time". Since Sally is tall thin blond and blueeyed they are looking mostly at short fat black girls. Of course they never let on to the mark what the plan is. They just discuss her afterwards. I don't think Dan is enjoying this one bit. He has stayed very aloof over every girl. I don't blame him. If he gets too interested Sally may cross that girl off the list. I don't think she wants to be compared unfavorably in the end. Who would? But so far she has been great about telling Dan she won't think twice about him after she dies so he should just move on with his life. I think it will all work out if she kicks the bucket on schedual but what if they choose Dan's next mate and then a miracle cure is discovered? I don't think the kids know what's going on yet. But maybe they wonder why I keep bringing my dates home to meet them. And of course I have to be the perfect gentleman to every lady who is not crossed off the list yet.
