Lost 8 Million in stock market crash

So I'm thinking what's the difference between the guy who lost 8 million dollars in the stock market crash and now only has 1000 dollars left in his emergancy fund and the other guy who lost 2000 in the crash and now has only 1000 left in his emergancy fund. They both have the same net worth today (all other things being equal). (forget the part about the rich guy still has some of his rich buddies to help him get rich again) Ok so I lost 8 million in the past 2 months on wall street. No problem though. I've got a big treasure tucked away where moths and rust can not destroy.
