Wine is a mocker and strong drink a brawler

I woke up in the night with that thought in my head "Wine is a mocker, and strong drink a brawler" I couldn't get that scripture out of my head. Now I've always belived that the Southern Baptists are wrong about drinking being a sin. After all Jesus drank so much they called him a drunkard and He even turned water into wine.
The bible is complicated and difficult to read. I can find in it what I want to defend my position (I'm not talking about just drinking alcohol but many things: Abortion, Murder, Gender roles, slavery, etc., etc., etc.) Now my great revelation from last night is this: God purposely made the bible so difficult to understand that one can only know the truth if the Holy Spirit reveals it to him. Without that Holy Spirit in me all the preaching in the world will not teach me the truth (remember that old saying "A man convinced against is will is of the same opinion still").
So my prayer for today is that whenever I read the Bible I am filled with the Holy Spirit so that I can learn the truth from God.

It sounds to me like it is wrong to get drunk by the strong drink. Like you said, Jesus drank wine, and Jesus NEVER sinned. So it is not wrong to drink it necessarily...just drinking too much maybe. That's what it means to me anyway...
