Welcoming but not affirming

Some Christian Churches claim to be welcoming and affirming. I guess they are saying all are welcome and that homosexual activity is not something to be ashamed of. I don't understand the thought process behind that. The way I understand the bible, going after the wrong flesh like that is a sin. A forgivable sin but nevertheless a sin and not to be encouraged. I'm all in favor of welcoming everyone into the church but not to encourage them to continue living a life of sin. I guess Satan is alive and well in the churches of America and glad to see those who profess Jesus as savior fail to obey Him. A lot of people are going to be in for a huge wake up call come the judgement day.
